Tab Station

Span Length Chainage

In the fields Span lengths Left or Right (in the tab Station) respectively you can change the station value in relation to the neighboring support points. The station value in the field station (absolute value at the track path) is automatically updated. The value length span left is always related to the support point with the smaller station value, while the value for length span to Right is related to the support point with the bigger station value. With the buttons RND you can round the length span on a multiple of the value, which was defined in the options.

The input field Station offers you the possibility to edit the station value directly.

On the right side of the input field a check box is arranged. With this check box you can mark the station of the support point as fix. If the checkbox is active, the value of the input field will remain unchanged when the optimization runs.

Connection

The display field shows the type of the support for the connection element. That could be a cantilever or a multitrack cross arm.

World Coordinates

The world coordinates describe a point in the rail center, i.e. without consideration of the stagger and the displacement described further below.

You cannot change these values; they are only for your information. But you can insert the position of the support point with the value for the stagger, span length and value of the station.

Displacement at the Pole

In case of several cantilevers, e. g. a double support point, the input of a displacement is necessary. A negative value means that the point of the support will be moved towards the station at km 0. A positive value in contrary will move the support point to the km x.

Note: The coordinates of a double support point, i.e. two cantilevers at one pole, are always arranged at the same position in the world coordinates. The different contact wire supports and messenger wire supports in the graphics arise from the different stagger and displacements.
